There are about 259 sunny days in Amarillo every year. It snows and rains too, but not all that much. With our low humidity, it’s one of the most pleasant environments in Texas and a great place for a garden. In fact, Overnite RV Park has been certified as a Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. You’ll see plenty of rosebushes, as well as wildflowers on the grounds of our park. So, stick around – it’s nice here!

Nature All Around Us
Just about 30 miles northeast of the park is Lake Meredith – a reservoir on the Canadian River that offers fishing, boating, and hiking trails. You’ll see lots of birds and wild creatures on your hikes like prairie dogs, red foxes, raccoons, opossums, horned toads, and coyotes.
